We were looking to buy a Honda / Fit. We had already studied the market price etc. We went into the dealership with a set price in mind. First of all Rick Hammer greeted us not in a 3 piece suit, rather in casual clothes and did not use the usual pressure talk the car sales men use. Instead he asked us what we were looking for and what we wanted in the car. Rick showed us a car, gave us the keys and told us we could drive it around the community with out him in the car. That is trust.
When we came back, we had questions which he answered quickly and accurately (I checked later). When we indicted we wanted to buy the car, Rick didn't try to get us to buy this and that (extras). He mentioned them as options but then dropped it when we said we were not interested. Rather we wanted a certain item for the car and he had to check if they made one for the Fit. Rick found that they did and got it for us and had it installed.
We did buy the car at our set price. The dealership was very fast and courteous in prepping the car and follow ups. I had a problem with the steering wheel lock. Called them from my cell. They walked me thorough the problem. Lesson learned on my part. I would recommend new owners read the manual. It is all explained there. Love the car.
PS. I get 28mpg around Cleveland Heights. (Does change your driving habits). Just got back from cross country round trip in the car from Cleveland to AZ. 39.6 mpg with the air conditioner on (SMILE).
